I'm really excited about starting The Great Gatsby Read-Along this Wednesday, and I hope a lot of people will join in, post comments, and enjoy what many call the Great American Novel. (If there is such a thing.)
A quick note to help you know what to expect. I will be reading and writing about one chapter a day from May 1 until May 9. My posts will be brief and full of questions. I will not be playing the Fitzgerald expert in this scenario. More importantly, I will write like a person, not like a literature professor. The conversation will be rambling, poetic, intimate...never stuffy or pretentious.
In other words, you don't have to fully "get" The Great Gatsby to participate. I don't fully get it, and I'm leading the discussion.
Oh. And if you still need to get a copy of the book, you can listen to it (read by Tim Robbins) for free with a 30-day trial subscription to audible.com. Or get it for Kindle below:
